Education technology companies,听Sparx听补苍诲听HegartyMaths, have today announced that they are coming together with an ambition to increase their combined impact in the teaching and learning of maths. The new partnership brings together two of the UK鈥檚 most influential and听groundbreaking听education companies and is set to increase their joint reach and capability to over one million users in more than 1,300 schools. The new arrangement will mean that听HegartyMaths听will become part of the听Sparx听蹿补尘颈濒测.听

Sparx听补苍诲听HegartyMaths听are both award-winning companies offering maths education solutions for the K12 market.听Sparx听is an in-class and homework solution that uses personalised content and data analytics to allow teachers to focus on effective teaching rather than time-consuming administration. Since 2010,听Sparx听has been investing in school-based research to create a powerful solution that increases student engagement and accelerates progress.听听

HegartyMaths听is an incredibly听successful maths homework software solution, founded by Colin Hegarty, UK Teacher of the Year in 2014听and finalist in the Global Teacher Prize 2016.听HegartyMaths听is used in听many听UK schools and its focus on the science of teaching and learning maths aligns closely with听Sparx鈥櫶齰alues and approach.听听

Colin Hegarty will continue to lead and direct听HegartyMaths听but will also work closely with听Sparx鈥� CEO, Dan Sandhu, as part of the leadership team for the whole organisation. Dan Sandhu will join the board of听HegartyMaths.听听听
