鈥淚 have always been inspired by聽independent聽women.聽As聽 leaders,聽it聽is聽our duty聽to foster an environment which creates equal聽opportunities聽for all people to flourish, and as a female leader I intend to focus on that ever more.聽
鈥淭oday, the fintech industry is made up of mostly male employees with less than 25% of all senior roles聽held by women. 聽I was always mindful of this and saw it as聽Payoneer鈥檚聽mission聽to change聽this statistic when it comes to women in Fintech.聽However,聽it is聽important to remind聽ourselves聽that it is not about shifting power to聽favour聽one side over another, but instead聽creating聽a level playing field聽by聽identifying, acknowledging and rejecting聽your preconceived notions and biases. Diverse management hires, diverse teams, and聽Payoneer鈥檚聽key values, focus on Inclusion and Diversity externally as well as internally.聽I聽believe聽there is no better place for this聽to start than with the education of our children.
鈥淧ersonally, I feel it is important to聽keep my children involved and informed about my work. I hope that this will then聽enable聽them聽to make informed future career choices聽beyond the stereotypical roles that they are exposed to from a young age.
鈥淚 regularly teach my children about a passion of mine, to empower the lives of small business owners and聽entrepreneurs聽all over the world and this is what聽ultimately drew me to聽Payoneer. When we are given聽the聽access to tools and the聽opportunity聽to succeed, the world benefits from the diversity of great ideas and innovations that follow.聽Payoneer聽allows聽just that by聽enabling聽buyers and sellers聽alike聽to make聽transactions globally,聽as easily as they do locally.聽
