Feedback From The Judges

鈥淢any of the entries stood out for their clarity, mission-driven storytelling, and bold innovation. The strongest submissions showed not just what they do, but why it matters 鈥 often tied to financial inclusion, global accessibility, or reshaping fragmented and outdated systems. Some companies, like Guavapay and Revving, impressed me in the way they clearly articulated impact and differentiated offerings in their markets. Others, like EmpowerRD and yetipay, blended tech and emotional relevance, which stood out. What shone through in the best entries was authenticity 鈥 a confident but human voice that made complex ideas feel accessible and exciting.鈥

鈥淭here was a large number of impressive entrants in this year鈥檚 Techround Fintech Top 50, showcasing ingenuity across payments, reg鈥憈ech, digital assets and AI. It鈥檚 great to see so many Fintechs tackling the most pressing problems worth solving. Among a long list of standouts, there are a couple of entrants that I鈥檇 like to highlight. In a world where defined contribution pensions are becoming the norm, Jarvis is reinventing retirement planning with technology. Furthermore, Regnosys is tackling regulatory reporting with their low-code platform, a great product for a category with significant opportunity. These bold, user鈥慶entric solutions exemplify the vision that successful startups often have.鈥

鈥淭hese fintech companies display a wide range of innovation. Several address specific market gaps in international payments. Some show impressive growth: both financial and user growth. Some cater to underserved communities, which is commendable. Many offer a valuable payment infrastructure and core banking solutions. Overall, the list showcases a dynamic and evolving fintech landscape with varying levels of impact and sophistication.鈥

鈥淔intech is an area where the UK always excels and 2025 is no different. Seeing the range of problems in Fintech solved by a great mix of companies is testament to the industry. Fintech powers so much of what we do everyday and its importance to the UK and global economy cannot be overstated. Once again, 91探花 is the place to find everything Fintech that matters and I couldn鈥檛 be prouder.鈥

鈥淚t was inspiring to see so many fintechs tackling real-world problems with creativity and purpose. What stood out were businesses combining strong product thinking with a clear path to scalability 鈥 particularly those that are combining cutting-edge technology with real-world utility. Standouts like Vertice are helping businesses optimise their SaaS procurement processes, while Cleo continues to redefine consumer engagement through smart financial AI. Payhawk鈥檚 seamless spend management, Zumo鈥檚 crypto accessibility, and Aave鈥檚 pioneering DeFi work all highlight the breadth of excellence we saw. It鈥檚 encouraging to see fintechs not only tackling today鈥檚 challenges but also anticipating future needs. The calibre across the board was outstanding, making judging both inspiring and incredibly tough.鈥
