Change management and adoption consultancy Hable have today announced a new environmental initiative: The Hable Forest.
Commitment to Sustainability
Companies are becoming more and more green as sustainability and the environment become more of a priority for businesses around the world.
The latest company to follow suit is UK-based tech company, Hable, who have launched a new environmental initiative
鈥淎s an organisation, we are committed to ensuring we remain environmentally conscious and make ethical decisions about the way we are run,鈥 says Founder and CEO of Hable, Mark Reynolds. 鈥淭he Hable Forest is our way of helping to make a difference to the planet.鈥
How Does Hable Forest Work?
Working with conservation charity The World Land Trust 鈥 who have helped to secure more than 2,222,247 acres of threatened habitat in 20 countries since their foundation in 1989 鈥 Hable are going to be planting trees and helping to protect some of the World鈥檚 most threatened habitats in Brazil, Borneo and India.
For every learning day Hable delivers to clients, they will be planting a tree in one of the locations mentioned 鈥 Hable delivered over 770 learning days in 2020 and estimate this will be over 1,000 by the end of 2021.
Purchasing Land
Alongside this, they will be donating 拢1 towards land purchase for every feedback survey they receive from a customer 鈥 100 survey responses will buy a whole acre of land to be handed over to a local community, protecting areas that might otherwise be destroyed. – Hable will also be looking to raise money towards the recruitment of a Forest Ranger – a local person who goes straight into the conservation frontline to protect and monitor the projects.
Being a Gold partner of Microsoft, Hable say they have been 鈥渁bsolutely inspired鈥 by Microsoft鈥檚 ongoing commitment to reducing their impact on the environment 鈥 Microsoft have been carbon neutral across the world since 2012 and have committed to being carbon negative by 2030. By 2050, they predict that they will have鈥痳emoved from the environment all the carbon that they鈥檝e emitted since the company was founded in 1975.
