Today marks the launch of聽, the world鈥檚 first incubator for startups and established organisations entering a period of significant growth and change. Inspired by the natural world and living systems, this innovative initiative is set to transform the startup landscape by prioritising sustainable growth over traditional business models that often emphasise rapid acceleration, burnout and high failure rates.
It aims to nurture organisations in a more organic way, fostering long-term success by echoing living system designs. It鈥檚 open to聽applications now until聽August 23, 2024.
The聽With Life Cultivator聽is offered in partnership聽by nRhythm, Zebra Growth and Capital Institute: Three organisations leading the movement for regenerative organisational development, financing, and growth. The six-month online programme is tailored to support businesses that are committed to change and creating a regenerative future. It will address the environmental, social, cultural and existential polycrisis of our time.
The ethos is that traditional growth programmes like accelerators and incubators treat organisations as machines, offering quick-fix solutions and short-term metrics. This is evidenced by 90%听failure rates聽补尘辞苍驳听startups.
The With Life Cultivator provides the antidote to acceleration and extractive growth by looking to living systems as a model for organisations, because living systems like ecosystems, demonstrate resilience, adaptation and emergent outcomes. The programme includes access to proven operational frameworks and tools, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and 1:1 mentorship from over 10 experienced operators.
These leaders include co-founders such as John Fullerton, the President and Founder of the Capital Institute, an early pioneer in impact investing, and renowned author of聽Regenerative Capitalism: How Universal Patterns and Principles Will Shape the New Economy, as聽well as聽Jeff Su and Tre鈥 Cates聽(co-founders of nRhythm) along with Moh Al-Haifi and Lee Fitzpatrick (co-founders of regenerative growth marketing firm, Zebra Growth), among many more.

The programme鈥檚 goal is to cultivate the next generation of organisations dedicated to a regenerative economy, effectively addressing the polycrisis we face today.
“In light of the polycrisis, what the world desperately needs now is an economy in service to life. We must cultivate regenerative organisations that support our socio-economic system and reimagine the financing and models for how enterprises grow,鈥 said Fullerton.
鈥淏y addressing the root problems of extractive growth and mechanistic design, the Cultivator ensures organisations are not just surviving but thriving in the long term. We are inviting organisations worldwide to join us and learn how to cultivate growth and create the conditions for long-term organisational health and resilience,鈥 adds Cates.
