Ten Ridiculous Degrees You Can Actually Study in the UK

Over half of young people are now going to university. Official figures show that in the 2017-18 academic year, a record 50.2 per cent of English 17- to 30-year-olds participated in higher education. We have achieved the goal Tony Blair set in 1999, but does this mean that having a degree is losing its value?

There are over 30,000 different courses and degrees offered by UK universities and colleges. Some of them are quite ridiculous and it does make you wonder why anyone in their right mind would pay nine grand a year to study such niche and seemingly pointless subjects. And will an employer take a degree like Floral Design seriously? University isn鈥檛 for everyone, and perhaps the focus should be on making university accessible and 鈥 shock horror 鈥 affordable. Simply expanding the number of courses and places to the point that the majority of young people end up going to uni is counterproductive and means people are forking out thousands of pounds for a degree which they probably don鈥檛 need to achieve what they want to achieve in life.

For your amusement, 91探花 has compiled a list of the top ten wackiest and most ridiculous degrees out there:
