tech&fest is Back For Its Second Edition

tech&fest festival is back on February 5 and 6, 2025 at Alpexpo in Grenoble, for its second edition. Located in the heart of the Auvergne-Rh么ne-Alpes region, France鈥檚 leading industrial area (11% of national GDP) and a strategic hub for technological innovation of international scope, the festival continues to expand.

Christophe Victor, General Manager of Le Dauphin茅 Lib茅r茅, who initiated the event, explains: 鈥淭he festival presents the best of the region鈥檚 technological know-how, and places the idea of progress at the heart of its approach. tech&fest, a collaborative event, is based on a powerful triptych combining Research, University and Companies.鈥

Founding partners include the Auvergne-Rh么ne-Alpes region, Grenoble Alpes M茅tropole, CEA (the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), Gr茅sivaudan and Cr茅dit Mutuel, as well as CNRS (National Center for scientific Research), Inria (National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology) and UGA .

The event will welcome over 200 speakers, 300 exhibiting companies and 20,000 BtoB visitors.

The signature of a strategic partnership with the French Foreign Trade Advisors (Conseillers du Commerce Ext茅rieur de la France) and the hosting of delegations and exhibitors from Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and South Korea will enable the festival to set its sights on the international stage, as early as 2025.

A programme based on 6 major universes, the event is structured around six universes:

  • tech & human (Health & well-being)
  • tech & planet (Energy, mobility & environment)
  • tech & fab (Industry & electronics)
  • tech & solutions (Business solutions)
  • tech & space (Space, Aerospace)
  • tech & you (Sport & well-being, living together, creative industry)

More than 200 renowned speakers are expected on the festival鈥檚 various stages, including Arthur Auboeuf (TEAM FOR THE PLANET), Nicolas Dufourcq (BPI FRANCE), Etienne Klein (physicist and philosopher), Florence Lambert (GENVIA), Gabrielle Halpern (philosopher) and Hugo Travers (HUGO DECRYPTE).

Topics covered include artificial intelligence and its impact on different sectors, talks between researchers and industry, cybersecurity, the future of the European space industry, changing practices in medtech, major trends in e-commerce 2025 and reindustrialisation.

But wouldn鈥檛 be tech&fest without its artistic programme, its concerts and its many opportunities to network鈥ifferently. A live concert by BON ENTENDEUR will close the event on the evening of Thursday February 6.

Benoit Lemaignan: The Godfather of The 2025 Edition

Benoit Lemaignan, co-founder and chairman of Verkor (an industrial start-up dedicated to low-carbon batteries), which has risen to unicorn status in just three years, out of its four years of existence and was born in Grenoble is embodying the theme of the 2025 edition 鈥渢he sense of tech.鈥

He will be the godfather of this year鈥檚 event, taking over from Maud Vinet, founder of Quobly, a leader in the research and creation of quantum computers, who was godmother of last year鈥檚 festival and has confirmed her presence at this year鈥檚 event.

tech&fest: An Innovative Festival

tech&fest is committed to young people, welcoming 3,000 middle and high school students for a 2-hour guided tour of the festival, during which partners, students and teachers can discover professions and learn about tech through discussions and workshops at the festival.

tech&fest is committed to employment through the creation of a Job Dating area where job seekers (short and long-term contracts and apprenticeships) can meet companies recruiting in the fields of Customer Relations, Engineering, Digital and Production. Last year, over 5,000 interviews were held at the event.

tech&fest is committed to helping decarbonise industry through Le Village de la D茅carbonation. This space will enable 50 French start-ups to demonstrate their solutions to help companies reduce their carbon footprint.
