The BRIT Awards with Mastercard, in partnership with eco-friendly NFT platform聽Serenade, have just released their聽first ever NFT collection,聽with 13 editions celebrating the 2022 award winners.
The limited edition NFTs cost just 拢10 each, with the proceeds raised from the sale donated to The BRIT Trust, the charity arm of The BRITs which distributes money raised from The BRIT Awards to organisations and charities including The BRIT School and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy. Fans who collect at least one edition from every category will also see themselves in with a chance to win a pair of tickets to The BRIT Awards in 2023.
Winners for this year鈥檚 BRIT Awards were revealed on Tuesday 8th February at The O2 arena in London, broadcast exclusively on ITV and ITV Hub, and include artists such as Adele winning Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year with other winners including Olivia Rodrigo, Little Simz and Sam Fender.

The BRIT Awards NFT Collection
NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. It鈥檚 proof that a digital item is authentic and unique. Like owning a rare vinyl record or a piece of art in a digital world. If you buy an NFT you will be its only owner until you want to sell it or trade it or keep it and collect some more.
Available at聽www.brits.serenade.co, and created by the digital artist MRE, these NFTs are based around the iconic BRITs statue. There will be 13 editions at 拢10 each in the collection, representing 13 award categories in the 2022 awards. Fans who buy all 13 NFTS will go in the draw to win 2 x tickets to the 2023 BRIT Awards ceremony.
Purchasing is as simple as any other form of online shopping; you can just use your debit or credit card.聽There鈥檚 no need to open a crypto wallet or have any prior understanding of cryptocurrency or the blockchain. The BRITs partner Serenade will handle the blockchain operations behind the scenes so you don鈥檛 have to worry about the technicalities.
Your BRIT Awards NFT will then be delivered to your NFT wallet and presented in your Serenade Gallery, So, as long as you have an internet connection, you can access your NFT whenever you want.
Serenade鈥檚 NFTs use 1/10th of the energy required to post a tweet, and 1/44,000th of a normal NFT, meaning they have minimal environmental impact. This is because they use the authentication method called 鈥楶roof of Stake鈥, rather than the standard Ethereum 鈥楶roof of Work鈥 method.
