Kry is the largest digital healthcare company in Europe and we operate in Sweden, Germany, France, Norway, and the UK (where we鈥檙e known as Livi). Our vision is to ensure every patient has access to high-quality care and clinicians have the best digital tools to deliver this.
We have a digital app that allows patients to connect with medical professionals from their smartphone or a tablet, and a growing software platform that is providing clinicians with the innovative tools to deliver high-quality care. To date, we鈥檝e completed over 3 million video consultations.

How did you come up with the idea for the company?
听
Being a patient is an experience we can all relate to 鈥� and we鈥檝e all seen the inefficiencies of the healthcare system, most notably in long wait times and difficulties accessing services when we most need them. We realised that we could use technology 鈥� which was already being adopted in multiple industries 鈥� to combat issues in the system and improve patient access, experiences, and outcomes.
Telemedicine has been around for a while but for us, it was about using it well for the benefit of the healthcare system. We wanted to use technology to empower patients and help them make better choices about their health while providing clinicians with the tools to do this and building critical health system capacity.

How has the company evolved during the pandemic?
听
The pandemic acted as a catalyst for healthcare systems around the world to adopt technology to connect patients with clinicians while physical appointments were limited. We scaled our business rapidly to meet rising demand for virtual healthcare and now have more clinicians using our technology and more patients benefiting from it 鈥� in 2020 we delivered 1.5 million video consultations, a year-on-year growth of 117 percent.
We鈥檝e done everything we can to work with healthcare systems for the better and help them to navigate the pandemic, including with one of our biggest partners 鈥� the NHS 鈥� where we鈥檙e providing the tools for virtual GP consultations and facilitating communications around the vaccine rollout.

Our overall vision is to help more people access high-quality healthcare and as we grow, we鈥檒l be working in collaboration with healthcare professionals and partners to create a world in which high-quality healthcare is accessible for all.
We鈥檒l continue to invest in broadening our offering for patients and clinicians throughout Europe, providing access to a range of digital tools and services to better empower patients, deliver improved health outcomes and quality of life, one patient at a time.
