Fellow colleagues can then respond, deescalating high risk situations or providing a helping hand when needed.

Likewise, patients can also be given similar personal alarms which allow them to call for assistance should they need additional support or care. This is particularly helpful in care home settings, where residents are at greater risk of falls and slips, but still wish to live independently.
