Feedback From The Judges

“This year’s submissions were a great selection of cybersecurity interests who truly have your best interests in mind. The developers at Aikido have made a real stand-out product that could be a standard for DevSecOps platforms. If you have a social media presence then run out to Handles today and see what they’re up to. You never know who might be impersonating you on the socials. For those who are fretting over their physical security, then Goldilock Secure and Nuke From Orbit could be your new best friends. Nuke From Orbit is still in beta, but we’ve all been there and now there is a solution for the everyday loss of your phon.”

Jacob W. Anderson, Owner at Beyond Ordinary

“I was amazed at the number of Cybersecurity startups offering specialised, very focused solutions across various categories, including data resiliency, IoT security, training, security assessments and more. The industry has become highly dynamic, with thousands of companies funded by venture capital. Many are funded to leverage AI to innovate and combat threats. My number one was Novous, an organisation that reminded me of when I started my first security consulting company in 1988. Small, highly skilled individuals, with a passion for security. I loved this quote “It’s not just about monitoring. It’s about understanding who accessed what, from where, using which app—and whether they should hav.” Simple, but accurat.”

– Cynthia Overby, Director of Strategic Security Solutions, ZCOE at Rocket Software

“This year’s Cybersecurity40 entries showcased the growing momentum in the cybersecurity market across the UK and Europe. I was impressed by the companies working with research scientists to bring the latest innovations to market. And by those companies using AI to solve cybersecurity challenges in new ways. Standouts included Arqit, driving leadership in quantum-safe encryption; Nothreat, using AI for autonomous threat detection; and YEO for Business, enabling Zero Trust corporate communications. All of the entrants show that Europe’s cybersecurity ecosystem can set a global benchmark for resilience and innovation.”

– Chris Newton-Smith, CEO at IO

“It is extraordinary to see the breadth and depth of all solutions that are involved in the Awards programme. Ranging from secure chip technology to bespoke cyber advice, from start ups to multinationals, it shows how sizeable is both the cyber risk for organisations and the range of solutions that clients need to ensure complianc.”

AJ Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer at Northdoor plc

“I’ve been lucky enough to judge the cybersecurity40 a number of years in a row now, and it’s always exciting to see how companies have evolved and which new innovations are coming to market. As cybersecurity becomes more important to businesses and individuals, it’s fantastic to see so many businesses fighting to innovate in the space. A huge congratulations to all of our winners!”

Feedback From The Judges

“Judging the SaaS66 was both exciting and thought-provoking. What impressed me most was the breadth of ideas, from AI-driven platforms tackling very complex problems to focused SaaS tools that solve everyday operational pain points with simplicity. The strongest entries combined innovation with scalability, showing not only clever use of AI, and automation, but also a clear vision of how their solutions can grow with customers. At the same time, I also loved the creativity shown by early-stage companies still finding their niche. Collectively, the cohort highlights just how much energy and ingenuity is driving the SaaS ecosystem right now, and it was an honour to see so many bold approaches to rethinking industries.”

Sunil Dua, CRM and SaaS Strategist

“The SaaS66 2025 entries are clear, practical, and well built. Teams know their customers, price for real value, and ship integrations that make onboarding easy. The best products handle must-do work where budgets exist and speed matters. Real results show up as signed deals, strong renewal intent, and regular use, not vanity numbers. I look for simple and repeatable growth, with dependable channels and helpful partners, alongside solid product design. These companies are ready to scal.”

–Furkat Kasimov, Business Leader and SaaS Investor

“Our annual SaaS66 competition is always one of my favourites because of the sheer depth that the entries bring to the table. In such a dynamic industry, the creation and innovation that these startups bring to the table never ceases to amaze me, and this year has been no different! The top three entries that really stood out to me this year were Squirro, Taxd and Hostaway, but we’ll be keeping half an eye on all our entries to see what exciting work they do next!”

– Gina Marrs, Features Writer, 91̽

“From Tech Round SaaS66 2025 entries, what is very noticeable is the breadth. It came from so many diverse areas including Technology, Sustainability, Finance, Wellbeing, Hospitality and many more. Covering the spectrum, from making traditional concepts more efficient and usable, to introducing very new ideas. Entries came from large established enterprises as well as new startups. Power of AI and data and increased access to solutions for many more were recurring themes, keeping with the trends.

With so many diverse subjects and new concepts, judging Tech Round SaaS66 2025 was a wonderful and learning experienc.”

Arunava Bag, CTO At Digitate

“As both a serial entrepreneur and an AI enthusiast, my focus has always been on solving real business problems – not just building technology. Too often, I’ve seen companies add AI as an afterthought, or launch with AI from day one but without a solid business model or customer traction. What impressed me the most here was the companies that have successfully combined tomorrow’s business trends with AI-driven solutions, showing strong customer value and growth potential. AI is a leap even greater than the internet or digitalization, but true success still comes from adoption, low churn, and tangible results.”

– Ulf Arnetz, Entrepreneur and Founder and Chairman of Howwe Technologies

“The entries I liked most were simple and specific: they stated who they serve, identified the pain, and presented the results in numbers. Maestra stood out for pulling campaign planning, creative tests, and ROI into one place—saving real hours. Mews showed depth across reservations, payments, and the whole guest journey, with integrations that matter. Crunch kept it practical for small businesses—clean bookkeeping, invoicing, and tax done. Tapoly made compliant, on-demand insurance feel buildable, not buzzworthy. Xapien turned due diligence slog into decision-ready reports in minutes. It’s about discipline: keep proving value, tighten the loop with users, and scale what works.”

Each staff member is given a Personal Infrared Transmitter (PIT), to activate in the event of an emergency or incident. When activated, the PITs send signals to receivers installed within the building’s ceiling, which are then converted into information that is transmitted to display devices such as pagers, display units, and desktops, communicating the exact location and severity of the alarm call. Fellow colleagues can then respond, deescalating high risk situations or providing a helping hand when needed.

Likewise, patients can also be given similar personal alarms which allow them to call for assistance should they need additional support or care. This is particularly helpful in care home settings, where residents are at greater risk of falls and slips, but still wish to live independently.

About Beam

Beam is an AI-driven Resilience Intelligence System that helps individuals and organisations detect and reduce micro-stress – the overlooked, everyday pressures that silently erode wellbeing, focus and performance. By translating behavioural patterns into predictive emotional insights, Beam enables earlier, personalised interventions that improve resilience and productivity at scale.

The idea behind Beam was sparked by lived experience. As the founder, I had a successful career in media and data but privately struggled with burnout. When conventional wellbeing apps and healthcare services failed to help, I began tracking my own life data – from work hours and digital habits to family stress and finances. What I discovered was powerful: it wasn’t one issue, but a pattern of daily microstressors that were silently taking a toll. That clarity became the foundation of Beam.

Founded in 2021, Beam combines behavioural science, machine learning and ethical data capture to uncover emotional patterns with 81% predictive accuracy. Unlike traditional tools that rely on surveys or offer one-size-fits-all tips, Beam uses real-time, holistic data from daily life to identify each user’s unique stress triggers – then delivers tailored insights to help them course-correct. For organisations, our anonymised dashboard highlights resilience trends, burnout risk zones and team wellbeing, helping HR leaders take proactive steps before issues escalate.

What makes Beam different is its low-friction, passive data model and dual-impact design: it supports both personal resilience and strategic organisational insight. It’s built to integrate easily into existing NHS pathways, corporate HR systems and insurer platforms, enabling scalable deployment with minimal disruption.

To date, Beam is ORCHA approved, Cyber Essentials+ certified, and supported by NHS Innovation and Mind Charity. We partner with health systems, universities and corporate clients, with results showing a 38% reduction in micro-stress, 23% improvement in wellbeing, and measurable gains in retention, engagement and performance.

Our biggest challenge has been shifting mindsets. The mental health space is crowded with reactive, symptom-led tools. Beam is leading a new category: Resilience Intelligence – using data for good to address causes, not just effects. By designing for privacy, transparency and user control from day one, we’ve earned trust across sectors.

We’re now focused on scaling. In 2025/26, we’ll launch our Personal AI upgrade — offering real-time, personalised decision-making support to users based on their unique emotional drivers. We’re also expanding our commercial reach through NHS tenders, university wellbeing programs and global HR tech partnerships.

Our mission is simple: make invisible microstress visible and and solvable. We believe resilience and emotional wellbeing should be understood and improved just like physical health. With Beam, that future is possible.
