About Kayla Shawn
I鈥檓 the Founder and President of The Healthcare Navigator (THN), a platform I started in 2022 to help people take control of their healthcare. Our mission is to simplify healthcare access, make costs more transparent, and ultimately save people money on their medical bills. With our app, users can easily find procedure prices, see clinical quality scores, negotiate bills, and get affordable labs and medications鈥攁ll in one place. We have a large impact on patients with chronic conditions and high healthcare utilization as we’re able to help them navigate the healthcare system with ease.
We鈥檝e teamed up with some great partners, including LabCorp & Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drugs to expand what we can offer our users. On average, our members save between $4,500 and $4,800 a year, which makes a huge difference, especially for those with ongoing health needs. Employers and benefits consultants are also big supporters of THN since it helps their employees find quality care without the hassle, making healthcare more manageable and affordable.
Before THN, I spent seven years in corporate healthcare strategy, and I saw firsthand how frustrating and expensive healthcare can be. My own grandmother struggled with these issues, which made me realize just how much the system needed change. That鈥檚 when I knew I wanted to build something different. Today, I鈥檓 proud to say that we have an 8.5/10 satisfaction rate and a 71% app engagement rate. Our users tell us we鈥檙e making a real difference in their lives.
Building THN hasn鈥檛 been easy. It鈥檚 taken a lot of work to gather the right data, build strong technology, and navigate all the complexities of healthcare. But every challenge has pushed us to get better, and it鈥檚 been worth it to see the impact we鈥檙e having.
At THN, we鈥檙e more than just a tool; we鈥檙e a support system for people who want to take charge of their healthcare without getting overwhelmed. I鈥檓 incredibly proud of what we鈥檝e built and the difference we鈥檙e making for our users. Through our platform we’re helping so many employers and patients reduce their healthcare costs and find quality care without the usual stress and confusion.
